Glamorous bride alert. This stunning soiree is centered around the most glam bride we have seen in a long time. And well, we don’t think this destination wedding at Quezon City, Philippines can get any prettier too. Because this elegance meets semi-outdoors wedding is knocking our socks off with all of its gorgeousness!

Vatel Manila was the talent behind the floral & event design – and talent it sure was. The whole wedding, as seen by Metrophoto, was a mash up of these two fabulous people. We can’t get enough of the gorgeous venue, the fabulous purple hues, the fashion, the sparkle and the totally in love couple.

It’s sure to do the same to you, and don’t forget you can get lost a bit more in the land of lovely by clicking to view more of the wedding! Metrophoto captures the exquisite and glamorous celebration in all its glory with their phenomenal photos. Not forgetting the wedding planning and love stories from the awesome bride!

{How we met}

We met in school. The year was 1997. Sparks didn’t fly at first but when it did, it never stopped. We became really good friends before taking it up a notch higher. And it has been a thrilling roller coaster ride since. Eventually, we have to settle in different countries but that didn’t change what we felt for each other. If anything, it made us stronger as a couple. We complement each other in so many ways which we have never given a thought before but can just laugh about it now. We went through so many things but never ever gave up fighting for this love that held us together.

We are so blessed to have God bring us together in this lifetime.” ~ Rachelle

{The Proposal}

“Funny that we have been both discussing wedding plans way before the actual proposal came in. Details like having a garden wedding and other wedding-related issues usually pepper our conversations every now and then. Thus, one can imagine that a proposal in this situation is no longer necessary. But surprise, suprise! Eventually this took place early 2010 just right after the Phuket trip with our friends. There was no bending on one’s  knee before hearing the popping the will-you-marry-me question instead there was just a nodding in silent agreement when the ring has been shown. The moon stood as the sole witness that day.” ~ Rachelle

{The wedding planning}

“Not being in the same country together is bit difficult during the planning stage. It’s a good thing that we’re in the same timezone this time around. The groom, surprisingly, is very hands-on when it comes to doing the wedding preparations – attending meetings with the coordinators in the Philippines on a regular basis. Why, even the gown couturier have exclaimed on the first fitting, “Ay, gusto ko yan! May input si groom.” He has a say as to where the beading should be placed or how adding a certain embellishment will make the gown stand out. It’s a good thing that we have a sort of, good eye for fashion – growing up with people making sense of thread, needles and the sewing machine. Our style is bordering on whimsical – a reflection of what we are as a couple. As such, we will be incorporating elements into the wedding that may seem oddly out of the ordinary but don’t look out of place when combined with the rest.” ~ Rachelle

{Any advice for brides planning their weddings?}

“While it is true that wedding preparations can be really stressful at times, learn to let go and enjoy the moment as well. This moment will never come again. Think of it as a bonding activity with your would-be hubby as you both prepare for a more challenging life ahead.” ~ Rachelle
